Within the cultural program of March Ondara City Council, took place yesterday in the House of Culture, launched the book entitled "The path dels Thieves" by its author, Manel Arcos, and Councilor of Ondara Culture, Rosa Ana Martí.

The play "The path dels Lladró. Als Bandolerisme voltants Mostalla of the Serra de (1808-1839) "by Manel Arcos, is the first research of its author. This is an award-winning work in 2008 with the award Ferrer i pastor of the Society and The Micalet which explores the lives of nineteenth-century bandit who lived in the regions of the Marina Alta and neighbors. The Councilor of Culture, Rosa Ana Marti, has described the work as "very interesting, particularly for its historical contribution regarding the bandits operating in the region of La Marina Alta.

The author has made a thorough research work, gathering information on dozens of parish records, (including the Ondara); documents fifty municipal locations and providing support homemade graphic of representative sites. The play illustrates the economic and social situation which led to the birth of the bandits, as well as the actions of those who were most famous outlaws.

Among the bandits, draws attention to the existence of two of them Ondara, and others who acted in the Sierra de Segària. The phenomenon of bandits spread to virtually all the peoples of the Marina Alta on those dates, and the popular people were concealed in order not to be harmed by them, as detailed in "La Senda dels Lladró". The author of "The path dels Lladró", Manel Arcos, after studying the bandits, is currently investigating the company of kidnappers in the Marina Alta.

Moreover, yesterday was also held in the House of Culture closing of the Fourth Conference on Animation at Reading, who have developed these days in Ondara with speakers from across the Valencian Community.
