CREAMA REPORTS ON AID TO INCREASE THE COMPETITIVENESS OF SME BUSINESS Agency Network for the Promotion of Business Initiatives (AFIC) provides information on aid to enhance the competitiveness of the SME business for the year 2010. The order was published in the Diario Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana dated 29 January and the deadline to apply for these grants is open until 28 February. The beneficiaries are corporations and individual entrepreneurs or micro-businesses classified as SMEs. The entrepreneur must invest a minimum of 5,000 euros to aid access. Also, the Order states that receive the maximum subsidy is 30% and a ceiling of 25,000 euros. The concepts are eligible for aid the purchase of equipment for storing, displaying and / or sale of the product including software licenses and software applications that are developed specifically for the needs of the company. It also includes a linkage to form associations and investment to the adequacy of the establishment for that purpose, in addition to making the investments identified in the diagnostic studies of point of sale. The order specifies that in the case of micro and excellent shops accredited by the Valencian Foundation for Quality may get a 5% increase in subsidy.
